Living in Peru has brought home even more the value of our wonderful democracy and its justice system that works...most of the time.
The Citizen's United vote, however, on the Republican oriented court now makes me ever more ashamed that our system no longer works, because this decision was a vote against democratic principles.
Thanks to a Republican Supreme court we now have elected officials bought and paid for.
Those who voted for this decision should be ashamed of themselves and their lack of appreciation for what has been rampant in the 3rd world for a very long time: representatives of government whose allegiance is to those who pay for their campaigns.
Congratulations on doing what the terrorists have not been able to do: destroy our democracy. Well done.
You can bet bin Laden won't be sending any airplanes your way.
